Akbar (Abul-Fatah Jalal-ud-din), the Mughal emperor of India (1556–1605), died of diarrhea or dysentery at the age of 63. After his death his body was buried in a tomb in Sikandra, Agra.

No. 12 Squadron was to launch the remarkable feat of airlift from Palam to the rough and dusty Srinagar airfield as the initial Indian response to a huge insurgent force crossing the boundary into Jammu and Kashmir. ,
