Freedom fighter and social activist Rameshwari Nehru died at the age of 80 in New Delhi. She founded the magazine "Stri-Darpan" in 1909 and was the president of the "Indian Women's Association". He received the Lenin Peace Prize in 1961 for his humanitarian services for the upliftment of Dalits.
